Like the rest of the world, Australia and New Zealand have cycled through various waves of Covid infection. By and large we have opened back up and the concerns that drove the changes to our usual care in 2020 have lessened. We must not be complacent however and the caution about gathering with large numbers of people in small spaces during outbreaks still applies. For this reason, you may continue to have a mix of telehealth and face to face care, especially in the first half of the pregnancy, however if there is not much Covid-19 in your part of the world, increasing to 8 face to face visits for the pregnancy seems safe.
